Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our tour executive and enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at your leisure, providing an opportunity to explore the vibrant local markets or simply relax and acclimatize. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing – Temples and Spirituality

After breakfast, you will embark on a guided sightseeing tour. This will include a visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple for darshan, a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. You will also explore the serene Jal Narayan Temple (Budhanilkantha), known for its large reclining statue of Lord Vishnu, and pay respects at the Guheshwari Temple, a significant Shakti Peetha. Following lunch, you will return to the hotel for some rest before your overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 3 Kathmandu to Rasuwa Gadi (Approx. 152 km / 6-7 hours)

Following an early breakfast, you will begin your scenic overland journey towards Rasuwa Gadi, located near the Nepal-Tibet border. The drive offers glimpses of rural Nepalese life and ever-changing, picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival in Rasuwa Gadi, you will check into your hotel and settle in for an overnight stay.

Day 4 Rasuwa Gadi to Kerung (Kyirong) – Entering Tibet (Approx. 41 km /3-4 Hours)

After breakfast, a short drive of approximately 15 km (about 1 hour) will take you to the Rasuwa Gadi border point. Here, you will complete the necessary immigration and customs formalities on both the Nepalese and Chinese (Tibetan) sides. Once cleared, your journey continues with a drive into Tibet to the small town of Kerung (Kyirong). Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 Kerung to Dongba (Approx. 250 km) – Himalayan Panoramas

Today, after breakfast, you will set off on a spectacular drive towards Dongba. This leg of the journey offers grand views of majestic peaks, including Mt. Shishapangma (8013m) and Gauri Shankar, among other towering Himalayan mountains. You will also traverse the high Gung-Yue La Pass (5050m). Your dinner and overnight stay will be in Dongba.

Day 6 Dongba to Holy Lake Mansarovar (Approx. 385 km / Altitude: 4500m)

An auspicious day awaits! Following breakfast, you will drive towards the sacred Lake Mansarovar, situated at an altitude of 4500 meters. Prepare to experience your first divine glimpse of Holy Mansarovar and the magnificent Mount Kailash from the Horchu Pass. Your overnight accommodation will be in a lodge at Chiu Gompa, located on the serene shores of Lake Mansarovar.

Day 7 Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (Approx. 30 km / Altitude: 4600m)

The morning is dedicated to spiritual activities at the sacred Lake Mansarovar. You will have the opportunity to participate in Pooja (worship), Havan, and meditation, or take a holy dip in the sacred waters – a truly lifetime achievement. Later, a short one-hour drive will take you to Darchen, the base camp for the Mount Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation). The rest of the day is free for acclimatization and preparing for the upcoming Parikrama. You will spend the night in Darchen.

Day 8 Darchen to Dirapuk (Approx. 18 km trek / Altitude: 4890m)

After an early start, you will drive approximately 10 km to Tarboche (Yama Dwar), which marks the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. From here, you will begin your trek, a walk of about 4-5 hours, to Dirapuk Monastery (4890m). The trail offers stunning views of the north face of Mt. Kailash. Your overnight stay will be at a guesthouse in Dirapuk.

Day 9 Dirapuk to Zuthulphuk (Approx. 22 km trek / Altitude: 4790m)

The Parikrama continues today with its most challenging yet rewarding segment. You will trek uphill to the Dolma La Pass (5600m), the highest point of this sacred pilgrimage, where you can offer prayers. Afterwards, you will descend towards Gauri Kund, a holy lake, before continuing your trek to Zuthulphuk Monastery. This demanding day is a pivotal experience for every pilgrim. You will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Zuthulphuk.

Day 10 Zuthulphuk to Dongba (Approx. 8 km trek + Drive)

After breakfast, you will enjoy a relatively easier trek of about 8 km, which will lead you to the point where your jeeps will be waiting. Upon reaching the road-head, your Kailash Parikrama concludes. You will then board the vehicles and drive to Darchen for lunch. After lunch, your journey continues back towards Dongba, allowing you to pass by the magnificent Lake Mansarovar once more. Your overnight stay will be at a guesthouse in Dongba.

Day 11 Dongba to Kerung (Approx. 250 km)

Following breakfast this morning, you will drive back towards Kerung, retracing your route through the vast Tibetan plateau. Take this opportunity to once again enjoy the familiar yet ever-striking landscapes. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kerung.

Day 12 Kerung to Kathmandu – Return to Nepal

After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and begin the drive back towards the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwa Gadi. After completing the necessary border formalities, you will re-enter Nepal and continue your drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11 Departure from Kathmandu

Enjoy a final breakfast in Kathmandu this morning. After checking out from the hotel, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. You will depart for home with the divine blessings of Lord Shiva and the cherished memories of your absolving pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar.
