After performing rituals, trek back to Jankichatti and return to Barkot by road for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Barkot – Uttarkashi – Gangotri (180kms/6hr) Height: 1352 MTS

Our day starts with breakfast, after which we’ll embark on a scenic drive to Gangotri, passing through Uttarkashi. In Uttarkashi, we will have the opportunity to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. We will then proceed to Gangotri for our hotel check-in and overnight stay.

Day 4 Gangotri – Bhojwasa (13kmsTrek each side) Height: 3792 MTS.

Our day begins at daybreak with breakfast, after which we’ll trek towards Bhojwassa (3600m), our path leading us through Chirbasa. The initial leg of our trek from Gangotri takes us along a familiar trail towards Chirbasa, which lies at the tree line. Throughout this morning, we’ll walk beside the ever-present roar of the Bhagirathi River. As we move beyond Chirbasa, the landscape undergoes a striking transformation, becoming increasingly desolate and barren – a terrain many trekkers compare to the Arctic Tundra. Our journey from Chirbasa continues through a dense forest, and our destination is Bhojwassa. Upon arrival, we’ll see a small temple and a potential campsite situated by the river.. We will set up our riverside camp. The afternoon provides an opportunity to explore the region and enjoy a breathtaking sunset painting the Bhagirathi peaks. We’ll have dinner and spend the night in tents.

Day 5 Bhojwasa – Gaumukh – Bhojwasa (5kmsTrek Each Side.) Height: 3890 MTS.

With the early morning light, we’ll savor the sweeping views of the Bhagirathi peaks. After breakfast, our destination is Gaumukh (3890m), the glacial source of the revered Ganges River. It’s here that the Ganga’s initial flow trickles down. Known as ‘Gaumukh’ due to its historical resemblance to a cow’s mouth, as named by ancient sages, we will explore the surroundings before our trek back to Bhojwassa for dinner and the night in a guest house.

Day 6 Bhojwasa – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (13kmsTrek, 100 Kms Drive.)

We’ll start our day with breakfast, followed by a trek down to Gangotri. From Gangotri, our journey continues by vehicle to Uttarkashi, where we’ll check into our hotel for the night.

Day 7 Uttarkashi – Guptakashi (13kmsTrek, 100 Kms Drive.) Height: 1319 MTS.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgoan. En route, we’ll have scenic views of the Mandakini River at Tilwara, which flows down from Kedarnath. Upon arrival in Guptakashi, we’ll visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple and then check into our hotel for the night.

Day 8 Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Guptkashi (30kms by road & 18kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS.

We’ll start our day with a drive to Gaurikund after breakfast. From there, the journey to Kedarnath begins with a trek, or you may choose to hire a pony, doli, or helicopter at your own expense. Our focus will be visiting the Kedarnath Temple. After our temple visit, we will trek back down to Gaurikund and then drive to Guptkashi for the night.

Day 9 Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Guptkashi (30kms by road & 18kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS.

We’ve included this extra day in the itinerary, especially for those flying by helicopter. The weather in Kedarnath can be quite variable, so having this buffer time helps ensure you have the best opportunity to complete your darshan and Yatra comfortably.

This morning, following breakfast, our journey to Joshimath takes us through the picturesque landscapes of Chopta and Ukhimath. We will check into our hotel upon reaching Joshimath. Brahamakapal holds significance for ancestor rituals (Pinddan Shraddh). Within 3 km of Badrinathjee are other attractions like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the Saraswati River’s origin. Afterwards, we’ll drive back to Joshimath for the night at a hotel.
