Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, take time to relax and freshen up. In the evening, a detailed program briefing will be conducted. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Kathmandu’s sacred sites, including the revered Pashupatinath Temple and Buddha Neelkanth. The remainder of the day is free for personal activities such as shopping or packing for the journey ahead. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 3 Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3,750m)

In the morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, our team will welcome you and escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for acclimatization to the high altitude. Overnight stay in Lhasa.

Day 4 Lhasa Sightseeing & Acclimatization

Today, explore Lhasa’s iconic landmarks, including the majestic Potala Palace, the spiritual Jokhang Temple, and the bustling Barkhor Market. This day also helps in further acclimatization. Overnight stay in Lhasa.

Day 5 Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse (3,900m) – 300km (~8hrs)

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Shigatse. En route, visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, famous for its towering 33-meter golden statue of the Maitreya Buddha. Check in to your hotel upon arrival, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Shigatse.

Day 6 Shigatse to Saga (4,600m) – 340km)

Depart early for Saga, traversing through breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Saga.

Day 7 Saga to Lake Mansarovar (4,500m) – 385km (~7hrs)

After breakfast, commence the journey to the sacred Lake Mansarovar, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. The drive offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Check into a lakeside guesthouse upon arrival. Spend the evening in quiet reflection or partake in a holy dip if desired. Overnight stay at Mansarovar.

Day 8 Mansarovar to Darchen (4,600m) – 30km

The morning is dedicated to spiritual activities such as puja, hawan, and meditation by the sacred lake. Later, drive to Darchen, the base camp for the Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay in Darchen.

Day 9 Kailash Parikrama Begins – Darchen to Diraphuk (4,890m) – 18km

Start the Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation) early in the morning. Drive to Yam Dwar (10km), then trek for about 4-5 hours to Diraphuk. Horses or yaks can be arranged for those who prefer not to walk. Enjoy a close-up view of Mount Kailash’s north face. Overnight stay in a guesthouse at Diraphuk.

Day 10 Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass (5,430m) – 22km

This is the most challenging day of the trek as you cross the Dolma La Pass (5,430m). En route, stop at Gauri Kund, a sacred lake, for darshan. Descend to Zuthulphuk for an overnight stay.

Day 11 End of Parikrama – Zuthulphuk to Saga

After breakfast, trek for about 8km to the point where your vehicle awaits. Drive back to Darchen and then continue to Saga. Overnight stay in Saga.

Day 12 Saga to Shigatse (4,000m) – 375km

Begin the return journey with a scenic drive back to Shigatse. Check in to the hotel upon arrival and rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Shigatse.

Day 13 Shigatse to Lhasa (3,750m) – 300km

Drive back to Lhasa, enjoying the picturesque landscapes. The evening is free for shopping or exploring the city at leisure. Overnight stay in Lhasa.

Day 14 Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 15 Departure from Kathmandu

After a leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel. Our representative will assist with your transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Depart with the divine blessings of Lord Shiva and the profound experience of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
