Overview
Kumbh Mela in the Nashik District of Maharastra occurs at an interval of every 12 years, on the banks of sacred river Godavari, and the Kushawart Kund. During this most auspicious period, devotees use to bath on the bank of river Godavari, at the Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple and in the Ram Kund. The Kumbh Mela that occurs here, includes a number of rituals and traditional practices.
